RELAY FOR LIFE NELSON
The Cancer Society takes the health and well-being of our communities seriously. In response to COVID-19 we have decided to postpone our Relay For Life events scheduled between now and the 6th April. We would like to thank all our event participants, volunteers and staff for the huge amount of work that has been done to plan and manage these events so far. We look forward to announcing new event dates when we can.
What is Relay for Life?
Relay for Life is an inspirational and super fun event for everyone of all fitness levels, during which we celebrate with survivors, remember loved ones lost to cancer and come together as a community to fight back against cancer. Teams camp out and take turns walking/running around a track while enjoying a festival-like atmosphere of live music, entertainment and activities, all with a fantastic community spirit.
Why do we need you?
Not only is it an amazing event, Relay for Life is also a vital fundraiser for the Cancer Society’s work in Nelson/Tasman. This work includes providing support services to people in your community who have been affected by cancer, promoting health messages to reduce the number of people who get cancer, and funding vital research about the prevention and treatment of cancer.

Your fundraising efforts will make a real difference. To make fundraising for us even easier, we've partnered with Everyday Hero to give you the ability to create your own online fundraising page. In just minutes you can build and customise your page, then start sharing the link with your friends, family and colleagues and asking them to make a donation. Every donation is then recorded on your fundraising page along with a message of support from your donors. So what are you waiting for? Create your own online fundraising page today!
Whether you are a cancer survivor, a carer, a supporter or simply want to make a difference, Relay for Life empowers everyone involved. We hope to see you there!
Please contact Michelle Hunt (phone 03 539 1137 or firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have any questions.
Cancer Society Nelson
One in three New Zealanders will be affected by cancer in their lifetime. The Cancer Society Nelson provides free support services and information for people going through cancer treatment.
We receive no direct government funding and rely on the generosity of Nelson and Tasman people to provide these services. We help in many practical ways for anyone at any age with any cancer.
